A male shot by a homeowner during an alleged burglary in Brea over the weekend stayed hospitalized Tuesday, March 10, cops stated.
The individual who was injured stayed in treatment, however was anticipated to make it through, Brea Authorities Lt. Tim Mercado stated. His name was not right away launched.
The suspect had been shot Sunday by a local of a home on the 200 block of South Laurel Avenue. He was struck once, and rushed to a close-by health center.
Detectives have met prosecutors at the Orange County District Attorney’s office, and were asked to submit their case for a formal evaluation, Mercado stated. It was not right away clear if either the guy suspected in the supposed burglary or the homeowner who shot him may deal with any criminal charges.
