A resident shot and injured a trespasser amidst an attempted home burglary in Brea early Sunday, officials stated.
The occurrence unfolded simply after 7:30 a.m. in the 200 block of South Laurel Avenue, according to the Brea Cops Department.
“Officers reacted to a report of a male suspect who had actually been shot by a local while trying to break into a house,” authorities stated in a written declaration.
The suspect was discovered suffering from a single gunshot wound, officials stated. He was required to a medical facility in unknown condition and was undergoing surgical treatment Sunday afternoon.
