A male was injured in an alleged attempted break in at a Brea on Sunday, authorities stated.
Officers were dispatched at 7:38 a.m. relating to a report of a man who had actually been shot by a homeowner while attempting to burglarize a house in the 200 block of South Laurel Avenue, authorities stated.
The man, struggling with a single gunshot wound, was hurried to a location health center, where his condition was not immediately understood, the Brea Police Department reported.
Detectives are carrying out interviews with the residents of the house.
