Muriel Dietterle, age 95, our cherished mother, granny and fantastic granny, passed away in harmony in her sleep on Saturday, July 4, 2020 after a short illness.
She was born upon September 2, 1924 in Oak Park, Illinois, the child of Edward and Olive Bell. She had one bro, Edward, who predeceased her. Muriel was wed to Francis Dietterle of Herscher, Illinois on August 2, 1947 at St. Giles Catholic Church in Oak Park, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 1, 2007.
She worked for many years for Fritz Huber, Lawyer at Law and ultimately retired and transferred to California.
A life-long Catholic, she was a long-time parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church in Herscher and of St. Juliana Falconieri Parish in Fullerton, California.
Muriel took pleasure in spending valuable time with her household, particularly her grandchildren and fantastic grandchildren who affectionately called her Gigi. She also loved to dance.
Enduring are one child and 2 daughters, the Honorable Keith (Laure) Dietterle of Koloa, Hawaii; Barbara (Terry) Ott of Brea, California; Beth (Ron) Riley of Brea, California. She is also endured by seven grandchildren; Ryan (Stephanie) Ott of Farragut Tennessee; Stacie Ott
(Chris) Beaumont, California; Lt. Col. Heidi (William) Dexter of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Erika (Akil) Bacchus of Allen, Texas; Keith Michael Dietterle of Baltimore, Maryland; Sarah Nichols (Brandon) of Weatherford, Texas; and Scott (Jacqueline) Riley of Brea, California.
Enduring also are her cherished fantastic grandchildren, Hayden, Lindsey, Liam, Holly, Evie, Levi, Amara, Aydin, Alexander, Reagan, Blake and Parker. One fantastic grandchild, Ethan, predeceased her and welcomed her into heaven.
A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at St. Julianna Church with internment beside her dear spouse at Loma Vista Boneyard, Fullerton, Ca.Source: herscherpilot.com
