Brea Olinda High tennis ace Kayla Meraz admired one of her coaches on National Finalizing Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
The All-County gamer celebrated signing a nationwide letter of intent with Arizona with a festive event at Fullerton Tennis Center, where she trains independently with Coach Dave Mann.
“Dave Mann has actually done so much for,” said Meraz’s dad Rich, “it was just fitting.”
Mann was Meraz’s very first coach and stays an essential mentor for the senior, Rich said.
Meraz, who reached the semifinals of the CIF-SS specific champions last season, also trains independently with Hector Chairez at Emperor Beach Tennis Club in Dana Point.
Mann also has actually trained Troy All-County senior Jenna Sabile.
Meraz also celebrated Finalizing Day with her siblings Ryan and Roman and her granny, Margret, who made an impressive cake with Arizona’s symbolic red A laid out in white and blue.
